So school is over for the summer. I'm currently working for Tofu Girls([link]) helping develop backgrounds/environments for a video game. Just started officially yesterday with a few other students from Art Center, and a fellow classmate from Otis, so not much work has been done yet for it; the goal is to get it done by the end of the year. I may end up going to Comic Con with them and help out with the Tofu Girls booth, but that's still up in the air right now.
It's just a little part time internship to do in my free time, so in the mean time, I'm getting started on my senior thesis, and working on personal work. I working on cleaning up the children's book I made in the beginning of the semester right now. Since we only had four weeks to do it, most of the drawings are crude, so I'm going in there with Illustrator and making everything crisp and clean, and applying what I've learned this semester to making it better. That way, when I print it out again, and take it with me to interviews, it'll look more professional! Yay for trying to make it look like I know what I'm doing!
Trying to do a plein air painting a day, to keep my color work sharp, and so far it's been going great! Got two new roommates this year, and one of them loves to go on hikes and stuff, and suggested I go with her to do some outdoor drawings and paintings to get better. I have been practically DIEING to go outside and paint for once, so I am super excited! I think I may try to learn how to use watercolor instead of always using gouache, just because it's so much cheaper, and it practically looks the same....WE SHALL SEE.
Mostly staying in LA for the whole summer, so I have access to the school's computers, plus I just find it more relaxing here than back at home.
And that's it for now! Other things may or may not come up, and when they do (or not) updates shall happen!
