Recovering my lost art files

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 21, 2009, 1:02 PM
Expiration Date:

About a month ago, my main computer at home's hard drive crashed. We're still not exactly sure hot it happened, but my computer wise of a brother says it's just due to the age of the hard drive (unfortunately they don't last forever). Nothing happened to the computer itself; it works perfectly fine right now, it's just that everything that was saved onto its hard drive is now, well, gone... This includes all of my .psd files (photoshop files) that I used to color in most of my pictures with. I was smart enough to email myself most of mine before hand when I had moved into my apartment, but a good chunk of them are now gone...

Normally this wouldn't be a big deal for me, but I've recently wanted to recolor some of my old drawings and, although I do have the original lineart, coloring them all over from scratch would be too much; I only wanted to make a few alterations, such as in this work I did:

But, since Thanks Giving is coming up, my brother will be home. We kept the original hard drive, and he believes he can go in there and recover almost all the files... And boy do I hope he can. D: I have faith in him, though. He's worked for Google before and currently works as a "professional hacker" as I like to call it. His job is to try and hack into the company's main computers and see how strong their protection is, point out its flaws, and fix them. If he can do all that, I'm sure he'll no problem recovering the files. ^^

On a side not, don't forget about my 7K hit contest. ;) Read about it here:[link]
