Headdress for Form and Space

Headdress project for Form and Space class at Otis. The goal was to design a headdress for yourself that served no function (aka no hats). It merely just had to look good and fit to your body and your sense of style; it's over all form had to fit the body in some way. My teacher even made it a requirement, on the day it was due, to have a matching outfit to go with it. XD

This was probably the most fun I had ever had in Form and Space. I loved this project! XD One of my classmates even said "Your headdress makes you look.. very much like a NetNavi." XD I was just surprised she even knew what a NetNavi was. lol

I am pretty disappointed with out the front came out, Not only did it back part of it weigh it down, so it didn't cover my eyes as much as I wanted it to, but the front just looks too plain compared to the rest of it. I originally wanted to put a TON more of those things that are on top of the headdress all over it, but I just ran out of time. Those would have definitely helped make the front more appealing.

Too bad you can't see my awesome boots in most of these pictures. They really tied the outfit all together. XD

And of course, my lovely classmates and my teacher are above, all sporting their headdresses; my teacher is the one in the middle.


Made with wire, foam, fabric, and tons of hot glue. The part that covers the eyes was sewn by hand, as well as all the lace all around the headdress.
